Welcome!

I’m Jasmine, a Philosophy PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto. My research is primarily in moral, political and environmental philosophy. I am also interested in care theory, moral psychology, and critical theory.

I am currently writing my dissertation on the social and political dimensions of environmental attitudes in the context of climate change. In particular, I explore how climate hope and despair affect our relations to self, others, and possibility. I am interested in how these attitudes—and our normative evaluations of them—impact our ability to act for ideal ends, like environmental flourishing.

I received my MA in Philosophy from the University of Toronto in 2023 and my BA in PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics) from Mount Allison University in 2022.
